AdWords Conversion Tracking Code Checklist

  • In the top main menu of Google AdWords look for Tools -> Conversions
  • Click on +Conversion
  • Select “Website”
  • Name the conversion (ie. Buyer Leads)
  • For Value, choose a value or choose “Don’t Assign A Value”
  • For Count: Choose “Unique”
  • Keep Conversion Window at “30 Days”
  • For Category: Choose “Lead”
  • For Optimization: Keep default to include data in columns
  • Install the Conversion Tracking Tag: Choose “Email Instructions and Tag”
  • Send to to install on your landing pages
